Where to Eat with Kids in Warsaw: Guide to Restaurants
Warsaw has plenty of amazing restaurants for everyone. It’s easy to find traditional Polish food or authentic ethnic cuisine. While Polish food isn’t particularly vegetarian-friendly, these days there is a range of choices of vegan restaurants in Warsaw.
Over the years, many places started catering to family with kids as well, and as a result, many restaurants and cafes opened play areas, kids corners open-air playgrounds. Honestly, we’ve eaten at some of the best restaurants in Warsaw with kids
What I love about this setup is that almost every spot we’ve been to in Warsaw not only cater to families, so it doesn’t feel like you’re stuck at Chuck E Cheese. Most of the time, these are regular places that welcome kids on top of it so only 25% of people are there with family. Wondering where to eat with kids in Warsaw? Here are our picks.
Polish Restaurants in Warsaw with Kids
Zapiecek Polskie Pierogarnie
A trip to Poland is a trip lost without pierogi (important: pierogi is already plural, so don’t call them pierogies like they do in the US). Pierogi can be eaten sweet or savory, with different fillings and toppings, either boiled, baked or fried.
Zapiecek is a chain restaurant with multiple locations that offer fresh and tasty pierogi, many with vegetarian filling.
Bar Mleczny (Milk Bar)
Visiting a traditional milk bar is a must-do on your trip to Poland and should be high on your food to-do list. Milk Bars were extremely popular in communist Poland where people used to come for super cheap traditional food. While most of them are gone, Warsaw decided to leave a few to keep the tradition going.
Don’t expect the staff to speak much English, so be prepared for a surprise food. Some of the best milk bars include Rusałka (Floriańska 14), Familijny (Nowy Świat 39), and the recently renovated Prasowy (Marszałkowska 10/16).
Restauracja Wiejska Chata
Slightly outside of Warsaw in Zielonka, but this place offers folklore decor with a big fenced garden with playground where kids are free to roam.. If you’re looking for a friendly atmosphere, it could be your choice.
Stary Dom
Great Polish restaurants with unique folklore decor. Kids get to pick something from the kids menu and free ice cream.
I prefer their menu over other traditional Polish restaurants in Warsaw (like Oberża Pod Czerwonym Wieprzem) as they have more non-meat dishes. Booking a table is recommended.
Restaurants with Play Areas in Warsaw
Der Elefant
Warszawa Śródmieście, plac Bankowy 1
Der Elefant is an elegant restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating areas, but not many know (as it’s well hidden) that they have a big kids play area on the 1st floor with slide and ball pit.
The food is great and combines traditional Polish cuisine and seasonal specialties, like chanterelles, with an international twist.
Otto Pompieri

My kids would tell you it’s their favorite place to eat. Very traditional Italian restaurant (every time we visit we meet a lot of Italians) with a huge play area with slides, games, ball pits, and toys in the basement.
Gruby Josek
Warszawa Śródmieście, al. Jana Pawła II 27
Serving Polish cuisine with a modern twist, Gruby Josek has a small play area. On weekends, there are animations for families with art workshops, puppets and songs. Plus, kids eat for free on Sundays.
Kuźnia Kulturalna
Warszawa Wilanów, ul. Stanisława Kostki Potockiego 24
Another restaurant serving modern Polish cuisine enhanced with original international recipes. For kiddos, there is a large children’s zone (indoor and outdoor), which includes a tent with a wooden floor and a large sandbox with toys. On weekends, you can meet animators there as well.
Izumi Sushi Bialy Kamien

At Izumi Sushi you can feel like you are in a tropical palm house that is not affected by the seasons, which is already an attraction for the kids.
Highest quality sushi and cute kids corner that gets seasonal updates depending on the seasons, so the kids will want to return for more and more.

Food is tasty and kids can play with a ton of toys in the corner that’s right next to the family section, which is an advantage as parents of little kids can watch them at all times.
Trattoria da Antonio
Warszawa Śródmieście, ul. Żurawia 18
They have multiple locations around Warsaw, each with a play corner, but the best one in my opinion is the main one on ul. Żurawia. Serving traditional Italian foods like pizza, pasta and salads.
Le Petit Chef
Not quite a play corner, but worth mentioning as it’s my kids’ most memorable dinner. Le Petit Chef is a worldwide “chain” and shows an animation on the plate starring a little chef. We did it in Warsaw as it was slightly cheaper than anywhere else and highly recommend it!
Cafes with Kids Areas
Wedel
Poland has one of the best liquid chocolates on the planet. It’s thick and rich in flavor. Do yourself a favor and stop by one of the Wedel cafes for a cup of hot or cold chocolate.
For first-timers, I recommend a tasting menu containing three small cups of hot chocolate: traditional, dark and white. Another favorite of mine is Amaretto Milk Chocolate.
Wedel recently opened a Chocolate Factory museum, which is a fun activity for kids and adults before or after a visit at their cafe.
Klubokawiarnia Kolonia
Warszawa Ochota, ul. Łęczycka 2
A wooden house with an intimate feel, where you can feel like you’re in a cafe by the ocean. The proximity of the children’s play area means you can keep an eye on them at all times. The small beach has a trampoline, slide and toys to play.
Klubokawiarnia Polana
Warszawa Wilanów, ul. Franciszka Klimczaka 5/81
A family restaurant inspired by the forest and the glade. Perfect for play dates and regularly they offer developmental classes for children and adults. There are toys for children scattered throughout the place.
Hopsaska
Warszawa Praga Południe, ul. Bora-Komorowskiego 56A/lok U8
The play area is designed so that the guardian can see the child from every seat. It has a structure with a large slide and play and educational corners, which include a wooden train and a carpentry workshop. The children’s menu includes much more than fries with nuggets, but plenty of healthy options.
Anse Kabanse

Cute colorful cafe with a bit area for kids under 6 years old. Climbing structure with many additional toys and even a separate baby area.
Lemoniadowy Joe

Probably one of the biggest play areas in a cafe as it caters to kids even 11 years old as well as babies. There are a lot of toys and a lot of space to play, along with animations.
Cafe Przygoda Sala Zabaw
Warszawa Mokotow, ul. Bobrowiecka 10
Fantastic, clean climbing structure with additional tents and toys around it. If I were to pick just one play cafe I would say Cafe Przygoda is the best pick.
Galeria Mlociny
Not a cafe per se, but various malls you can find slides and play corners for kids that are completely free. At Galeria Mlociny there’s a giant slide my kids adore and it’s right in front of Cafe Nero so you can sit and watch the kids go up and down. There’s also a kids play zone right above the cafe on the 1st floor.
